LAB holds art competitions, exhibits of winning artwork and awards ceremonies in each of the participating cities.  The award ceremonies are held during national Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15th – October 15th annually. 

Other annual events include participation with the Chicago Latino Film Festival/Student Segment Art Exhibit and the Edward James Olmos Book's Family Festival, among others.
